With our lush forests and bushland, the variety of forest and mountains birds is plentiful. Some of the populations are dwimndling but thanks to the Department of Conservation, many worthy programmes have been implemented to protect and restore our native bird populations.

I very much hope to discover and photograph new (to me) bird life as we explore.
