Every petal, every flower is unique.  Its beauty can be fleeting, or long lasting.  As a photographer I’m inspired to capture the beauty and delicacy of each flower, from an individual stem to a floral arrangement.

I have recently joined an international online community of like-minded photographers to learn further techniques and creativity in floral photography.  It’s an excellent way to keep myself challenged and to learn from some of the masters in the field!

I find beauty within every flower – from the transparency of a petal to the uniqueness of the formation of a stamen - for each floral portrait I create, I realise that nature has given us these beauties as a reminder that life is precious, and fleeting.
