Strictly speaking macro photography is close up photography of small things and details, and making them larger than life. Aah - if only it were that simple.

You can photography any component of a larger scene and turn it into a stunning macro photo.  Think bugs and insects, flowers and petals, feathers, or eyes, lashes, fingers and toes of a newborn baby.

For me, macro photography is an opportunity to showcase the fine details in very small things.
