Sea and Shore Birds
With New Zealand being surrounded by the ocean, it is not surprising it is considered to be the seabird capital of the world. Approximately 80 or so species of seabirds breed in New Zealand and one-third of them are endemic, or found nowhere else.
You can see my collection doesn't even scratch the surface of the many unique and remarkable birds that make their home on New Zealand's shores. I'm hoping to discover many more as we embark on our travels.
